About Reiki Animal Healer

I work with Animals and their People

Hello! I’m Wendy

Reiki Master and all round Animal Lover

Whether it’s someone in person or remotely working with your beloved pet, you need to feel that you can trust that person. After all, they are your family, you love and care for them, and they rely on you to make the right choices for their care. I know I wouldn’t trust just anyone with my furry little boy Tom cat, so if you’re reading this I know you feel the same way about your animal family.

Animals have always been a big part of my life, even though I didn’t have a house full of animals, I easily bonded with other friends and family’s animals and they by default became part of my animal family too. It was and still is a mutual bonding. It didn’t end there, wild or lost animals seemed to know just which house to arrive at when they needed help. It’s only natural that I felt drawn to following a healing pathway, as the compassion and feelings of empathy that I have with animals, is what helps me to be the best person, Reiki Master, that I can be. The animals are my teachers and always will be.

If you follow me on Social Media you will see that I always sign off Wendy and Tom. This is Tom, the animal family, that currently shares my life. He’s also a recipient of many a Reiki session when he’s not feeling up to the mark or just to give him and extra little boost. He’s also been a teacher on my Reiki journey having been with me since the start of my Reiki attunements and advancement from Level 1 Reiki to Reiki Master. He has shown me to listen closely to whether an animal does indeed want to accept Reiki or not. They have a freedom of choice in accepting this form of healing and Tom isn’t shy in letting me know, when he doesn’t want any for whatever reason. It is so important to listen to animals and give them a choice, none more so than in a healing capacity, with the exception of veterinary care of course where we have to make the crucial decisions with their expert advice.

I believe that we are privileged when we share our lives with animals. They love they bestow upon us is not only unconditional, but it’s special. They trust us completely to care for them and not letting them down is something that I feel so strongly about. They deserve respect, love and kindness always. Not just our animal family, but all animals.

I, like so many of you, had a fear of snakes. If I ever visited anywhere with snakes, I would have to walk past quickly, averting my eyes. Then one day I attended a dog charity event and the stall down from mine has reptiles. That was the day, I felt I needed to confront my fear and as you can see in the photo, I did. I truly believe that the snake I am holding knew my fears and helped me to overcome them because he looked at me with compassion, yes you read that right, looking into his eyes he knew and he didn’t want me to be scared. He kept his movements as minimal as possible until I relaxed and gently touched him. He confirmed for me that all animals have feelings and compassion. Yes, a snake will kill to eat, but that’s survival. Although, I’ve overcome that fear, it still doesn’t mean I’d want to be in a pit of snakes. Yikes!

No matter what species the animal is, bird, mammal, reptile, insect, there is no discrimination when it comes to a Reiki session. All are welcome!

My Approach & Values

I believe that it’s important to work with people that you get a good vibe about, especially when looking for someone to help with your beloved animal companions. Your animals also get vibes about people, so they too need to feel the trust and connection, even when working via distance Reiki healing. For that reason, I am open and ethical about my approach; the animal comes first in all instances. Only a veterinarian can diagnose an animal and they should be consulted first. If you don’t believe in Reiki that’s fine, I don’t try and convert people, I let the results speak for themselves. I don’t say that I or the Reiki can cure cancer or any other ailment, that is not only unethical and misleading; and I don’t believe in false promises. Yet, Reiki can help in so many ways for the highest and greatest good of your animal companion. I am a vegetarian (working towards vegan) because I cannot consciously share Reiki with an animal and then eat another animal. Animals trust and rely on us to help them and I believe we should do all we can to ensure we don’t abuse that trust.
